Value to Customers Automatic as Zurn Wilkins ACV Series Grows

Two New Model Options Expand Exceptional Benefits

ERIE, PA – Zurn Water, LLC amplifies its family of Zurn Wilkins ZW200 Automatic Control Valves (ACV) with all new stainless steel options as well as upgraded standard features. These enhanced designs support the focus of the series: simplified maintenance and repair, and lowest total cost of ownership.

The new braided stainless steel hose (-SH option) delivers a flexible braided tubing that completely replaces all bent copper tubing located on the ACV. Engineered with proven reliability and performance, the stainless steel braided hose lowers the risk of damage in field or during shipping that customers may experience with the rigidity of copper tubing. The –SH option eliminates the need for specialized tooling, simplifying maintenance and repair. It is also ideal for corrosive water environments where deterioration of standard copper tubing is likely to occur.

The new stainless steel pilotry (-SP option) replaces all brass, bronze, and copper components of the pilotry system. The 300 series stainless steel option meets the specification requirements of multiple municipalities where stainless steel is required for all valve pilotry. Customers also benefit from the increased corrosion resistance and stainless steel strength when compared to the ACV’s standard pilotry.

The Zurn Wilkins ZW209 Pressure Reducing Valve series is now equipped with a new standard pilot valve. The enhanced valve is constructed of robust bronze and features union connections for quick and easy in-line repairs, removal, and replacement – resulting in lower system downtime.

True to its roots, the new features within the Zurn Wilkins ZW200 series builds on the long life, exceptional performance, and ease of use provided by the popular ZW209 Pressure Reducing Valve.

The Zurn Wilkins ACV product line addresses multiple end connection options, pressure ratings, ANSI/AWWA standards, functionalities, and a broad range of applications and uses, including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, irrigation, penal, retail, waterworks, and fire protection.

“Zurn recognizes the needs of our customers, and the increased demand for enhanced performance. The durable, new stainless steel options and robust pilot enhancements deliver increased efficiency, simplified maintenance, and peace of mind - while maintaining a low total cost of ownership for these Zurn Wilkins ACV products” says Ezra Phillips, Zurn Product Manager.
