Frequently Asked Questions

The standard Z541 grate has slot openings of 3/8" wide, which qualifies it as ADA compliant when the grate is positioned so that the slots are perpendicular to the primary flow of traffic.  For a grate to be heel-proof, it must have a slot width of 5/16" or less, so the -HP option should be specified when a heel-proof grate is required for this drain.​
